The laboratory personnel at present consists of three permanent staff members, three research associates and two Post-graduate students who have received their B.Sc’s and doctorates from the Geology Department of Patras University.
Marine Geologist. Research interests: coastal shelf and slope processes, sediment transport under currents and waves, gravitative mass movement processes, geo-archaeology.

sedimentary processes, gravitative mass movement processes, chemical
tracers and pollutant transfer processes, gas geochemistry, geo-archaeology.
Palaeoclimatologist. Research interests: Quaternary palaeoceanography and palaeoecology in eastern Mediterranean, Sapropel’s formation, Archaeological Oceanography.
Dr. D. Christodoulou, Ph.D., University of Patras. Marine Geologist. Research interests: Seafloor mapping, Marine Geophysical surveying for offshore infrastractures.
Dr. E. Fakiris, Ph.D., University of Patras. Marine Geophysist. Research interests : Seafloor mapping, marine geophysical data collection, processing and interpretation, time-series analysis, software development, G.I.S. mapping.
Dr M. Iatrou, Ph.D., University of Patras. Marine Geologist. MSc in Oceanography, University of Southampton, Southampton Oceanography Centre, UK. Research interests: sedimentology and geochemistry.
S. Kordella, MSc. in Environmental Oceanography, University of Patras, PhD Candidate in Marine Geology. Research interests: gas geochemistry and marine litter.
M. Prevenios, MSc. in Environmental Oceanography, University of Patras, PhD Candidate in Marine Geology. Research interest in geoarchaeology, collection, processing and analysis of marine geophysical data.
